《气候变化研究进展》是受国家气候委员会委托,由中国气象局国家气候中心主办的综合性学术刊物,是我国在气候变化研究领域唯一的由自然科学和社会科学相结合的综合期刊。本刊主要刊登与气候变化相关的跨学科研究进展,介绍国内外有关气候变化的重大活动信息。本刊旨在促进气候变化研究的发展,并推动研究成果在经济社会可持续发展、适应和减缓气候变化对策制定、气候政策与环境外交谈判、资源保护和开发等方面的应用,为政府决策部门的相关工作人员、气候变化及其相关领域的科研、业务人员以及大专院校师生提供有关气候变化方面的最新成果和信息,为关注气候变化问题的社会公众普及有关气候变化的最新知识。
《气候变化研究进展》期刊由中国气象局局长、国家气候委员会主席秦大河院士出任主编,中国气象局气候变化特别顾问丁一汇研究员出任常务副主编;叶笃正院士、任阵海院士、刘东生院士等15位着名学者应邀成为编委会顾问委员,41位来自气候变化研究和决策相关领域的知名专家学者组成编辑委员会。
《气候变化研究进展》设有“研究论文”、“研究短论”、“对策建议”、“研究计划”、“动态快讯”、“书评”等栏目,其内容包括:国内外气候变化及其有关的交叉学科,如地球科学、生态、环境科学、人文、社会科学等方面的最新研究成果和进展;报道全球变化最新的观测事实、重要信息及应对全球气候变化的适应、减缓措施和技术成果等;及时反映与气候变化相关的各类国际、国内重大活动、重大科技计划及外交谈判的信息。
《气候变化研究进展》适宜相关政府工作人员、气候变化及其相关领域的科研、业务人员以及大专院校师生阅读,关注气候变化的公众也可从中获取有用的信息及知识。
据悉,经中国气象局第七届正研级专业技术职务评审委员会第一次主任扩大会议审议通过,《气候变化研究进展》已被列为二级核心期刊。

Advances in Climate Change Research (ACCR), started publishing in 2005, is an interdisciplinary journal spanning the social and natural sciences. It publishes high-quality original theoretical and applied research and review articles across the entire field of climate change and issues relevant to the understanding of climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation.
Basic and applied researches are devoted to all aspects of climate change issues - present, past and future; effects of human societies and organisms on climate; effects of climate on the ecosphere. ACCR invites high-quality Research articles, Notes, Reviews concerned with: interactions of climate with organisms, populations, ecosystems, and human societies; long-term changes in climatic elements such as humidity and precipitation, temperature, wind velocity and storms, radiation, greenhouse gases; human reactions to climate change; health, morbidity and mortality; clothing and climate; indoor climate management; climate effects on biotic diversity; historical case studies including paleoecology, paleoclimatology; analyses of extreme climatic events: their causes, physicochemical properties and their time-space dynamics, climatic hazards; land-surface climatology. Soil degradation, deforestation, desertification; assessment and implementation of adaptations and response options. Applied research includes climate effects on agriculture, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture; surface and groundwater quality and supply; pests and pest control; urbanization and economic developments; environmental protection; human wellbeing.
ACCR aims to address the broad spectrum of climate change issues raised by the prospect of changes in the global climate, and by the need for mitigation of, and adaptation to, climate change. It seeks to provide a forum for the communication of research, analysis, review and discussion concerning any issue related to climate change and impact, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol and the negotiation of associated policy instruments.
The journal attempts to promote the research in climate change and to give great impetus to applications of research achievements in many aspects such as socioeconomic sustainable development, making response to the adaptation and mitigation of climate change, the diplomatic negotiations of climate and environment policies, the protection and exploitation of natural resources; and to make complex, policy-related analysis of climate change issues accessible to a wide policy audience.

It’s issued for those engaged in the climate change sciences, environmental sciences and social sciences; policy makers and managers in government agencies, intergovernmental organizations that are affected by or concerned with climate change; and organizations affected by or concerned with global climate change strategies.
